3. Water regularly: Azaleas prefer moist soil, so water them regularly but make sure not to overwater. Check the soil moisture by inserting your finger about an inch deep into the soil – if it feels dry, water the plant.

5. Prune after flowering: Azaleas bloom in spring, and it’s best to prune them right after the flowers fade. Remove dead or diseased branches, as well as any crossing or crowded branches to improve air circulation and overall plant health.
