About This Plant
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

N’Joy Pothos Epipremnum aureum (Pothos) is arguably the most popular houseplant in India and globally — and for excellent reason. Its heart-shaped, often variegated leaves can drape elegantly from a shelf, climb a moss pole, trail from a hanging basket or even grow in a glass of water on a desk. Pothos tolerates almost everything: low light, irregular watering, high heat, air-conditioning and neglect. The various cultivars offer dramatically different looks — the classic golden Pothos has yellow-splashed green leaves; Marble Queen has cream-and-green marbling; Neon Pothos glows in chartreuse-yellow; and rare variegated forms are prized by collectors. It is also one of the most studied air-purifying houseplants, known to remove formaldehyde, benzene and xylene from indoor air.

Frequently Asked Questions
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Q: Can Pothos grow in just water?
A: Yes! Cut a stem with 2–3 leaves and place in clean water. Change the water weekly. It will grow roots and thrive for months.

Q: Why are my Pothos leaves turning yellow?
A: Overwatering is the most common cause. Let the top inch of soil dry out before watering.

Q: Is Pothos safe for cats and dogs?
A: No — Pothos is mildly toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets.

Q: How do I make Pothos grow faster?
A: Move to a brighter spot (still indirect light) and fertilize monthly in spring/summer.

Q: Can I grow Pothos outdoors?
A: Yes in warm Indian conditions — on a shaded balcony or under a tree. Keep out of harsh direct sun.
