String of Tears (Senecio herreianus or Curio herreianus) is a perennial, succulent plant native to South Africa. It has small, bright green leaves, rosette-like, tear-shaped leaves and is known for its trailing habit, growing up to two or three feet in length. It is a popular houseplant, prized for its ease of care and unique foliage. It prefers bright, indirect light and regular watering. It is an excellent choice for hanging baskets or other containers, as it will cascade beautifully over the sides.
