About This Plant
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dahlia is one of the most rewarding winter flowers you can grow in an Indian garden. This is a mixed pack — varieties and colours are picked at random from our stock, so every pack is a surprise: pompon, cactus and decorative forms in red, pink, purple, yellow, white, orange and bi-colour.
Each tuber sends up a bushy plant that flowers for weeks, and the blooms are excellent for cutting — they last several days in a vase.

How To Grow
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
When to plant: October to November in most of India. In hill stations, plant after the last frost.
Where: Full sun. A spot with 5 to 6 hours of direct morning sun and shade from harsh afternoon heat works best.
Soil: Loose, well-drained soil mixed with compost. Dahlias will rot in heavy, waterlogged soil.
Planting depth: 4 to 6 inches deep, eye (growing point) facing upward. Space tubers about a foot apart.
Water: Lightly until shoots appear, then water when the top inch of soil is dry.
Feeding: A low-nitrogen feed once buds start forming gives better flowers.
After flowering: Let the foliage dry, then lift the tubers, dry them in shade and store cool for the next season.

What You Receive
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dormant dahlia tubers in the pack size you select. Colours and varieties are mixed and cannot be chosen individually. Tubers are shipped without leaves or flowers — this is normal and is how bulbs travel safely.
